The field opens
Selection opens for everyone when the official player field is available, no earlier than Monday of tournament week. Only golfers confirmed in that tournament field can be selected.
Choose exactly 4
A valid team contains 4 distinct eligible golfers. Their published ranking numbers must total at least 100; there is no maximum total.
You may submit and revise the team while selection is open. Before confirmation, VanGolf shows whether the exact combination is unique and how many entries match it.
Your team becomes final
Your latest valid team becomes final ten minutes before the tournament’s official first tee time, unless an earlier published deadline applies. The customer-facing countdown and event notice are authoritative.
There are no reserves, automatic replacements or post-deadline substitutions.
The Friday cut and weekend scoring
Rounds one and two count all four player scores. After Friday's cut, each selected golfer who missed the cut receives the worst score to par posted that day by a golfer who made the cut.
Saturday and Sunday count the best three of the four scoring slots. One missed-cut penalty is therefore discarded; two missed cuts make one penalty count, three missed cuts make two count, and four missed cuts make three count.
A golfer who withdraws, is injured or is disqualified after starting receives the worst field score for each uncompleted day and every remaining day. A pre-start withdrawal can be changed while selection is open; after the deadline, the daily worst-score rule applies.
Live results are provisional until the official result is final. Suspensions, cancellations, shortened events and corrected results follow the official event status and event notice.
Pools, duplicates and season
Your same locked team appears in joined pools and the season. Equal scores share the same displayed position unless the pool publishes a different tie-break before entry.
Duplicate teams are valid. If identical entries share an award position, the affected award positions are combined and divided equally among all tied entries, subject to the displayed competition terms.
Friend challenges
Four vs four uses each member’s weekly team. Captain’s Pick uses one golfer, Duo Draft uses two and Cutline Survivor uses three. Side-game picks do not change the weekly team.
Every invitation shows the objective, selection deadline, scoring rule, tie-break and commitment before acceptance. A void event returns the committed Practice Points or funds under the displayed terms.
Golf Stock Exchange
After teams become final, each distinct four-player combination can form one outcome market. Identical teams share the same outcome rather than creating duplicate listings.
You may buy YES or NO at market price or set a limit price. You may sell only shares you own. Every market shows its question, close time, resolution source and cancellation rule.
Practice Point markets are free-play competitions and create no right to payment. A real-value market is governed only by the separate terms, eligibility checks and licensed operator details displayed before an order is accepted.
