When checks apply
Anyone may use eligible free social features subject to the Terms. Real-value competition, prize eligibility, deposits and withdrawals require an adult account and the verification level shown for that feature.
Verification status alone does not activate a wallet or real-value play; every applicable eligibility, licensing and account-control gate must also pass.
What may be checked
- Age and identity using reliable, independent information.
- Residential address and country or province eligibility.
- Sanctions, politically exposed person and adverse-risk screening where required.
- Source of funds or source of wealth when risk or law requires it.
- Payment ownership so withdrawals return through an approved, verified route.
Risk-based review
Checks are proportionate to the account, activity and risk. VanGolf may ask for updated evidence, pause a transaction or restrict a feature while a review is open. A reviewer must record the reason and outcome.
Verification data is private, access-controlled and retained only for the required purpose and period.
Wallet controls
Deposits, withdrawals and prize entry must default to locked unless every required gate is confirmed. Limits, cool-off and self-exclusion override commercial access.
Wallet operations require payment reconciliation, segregated ledger controls, duplicate prevention, tamper-evident audit records and exception review.
FICA operating duties
The licensed operating entity must confirm its Financial Intelligence Centre status and accountable-institution obligations. Where the FIC Act applies, it must maintain a risk management and compliance programme, appoint responsible compliance leadership, identify and verify customers, apply sanctions and politically exposed person screening, monitor transactions, keep required records and submit regulatory reports when triggered.
Corrections and review
If a check is wrong, use the account privacy controls to correct your details and request review. VanGolf must provide a safe escalation path that does not disclose screening logic or compromise fraud controls.
